Left to right: Dr. Wiley Drake, two-tour Vietnam War Veteran, Gene Simes, Disabled Marine Combat Veteran of the Vietnam War, the late Steve Palmer, an 88-year old disabled World War II Veteran. Gene Simes brought this 48-Star U.S. Flag from Rochester New York; it belonged to his Father, a World War II Combat Veteran, and it is hanging above the chained and padlocked front gates to the Los Angeles National Veterans Home.
