"The willingness with which our young
people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be
directly proportional to how they perceived veterans of earlier wars were
treated and appreciated by our nation."

-- Erik Roberts, an Army sergeant who was wounded in Iraq, underwent
his 13th surgery recently to save his right leg from amputation.
Imagine his shock when he got a bill for $3,000 for his treatment.
"I just thought it was bull---- that I'm getting billed for being
wounded in Iraq doing my job.

Charlie Daniels Joins
Fight for Mandatory Funding
Grammy
Award winner Charlie Daniels, 72, is probably best known for his
fiddle-drive hard-edge country and southern rock music. Over his
career Daniels has worked with the best of the best in the music
industry.
In
January of this year Daniels was inducted into the Opry Hall of Fame.
Charlie Daniels has never shied away from politics.
"The South's Gonna Do It" had a mild message of Southern cultural
identity within the Southern rock movement. Daniels was an early
supporter of Jimmy Carter's
presidential
bid and performed at his January 1977 inauguration. Charlie Daniels
has always been a valued supporter of our men and women in uniform.

A MESSAGE
FROM WILLIE
American Icon, and grassroots activist, Willie Nelson is
asking for all Americans to ‘Stand Up For Our Troops’
in a public service announcement posted on YouTube.
Below is
a message from Willie concerning the video.
I’m asking everyone across the nation to unite for the
common good of our men and women in uniform. We have a new
generation of veterans coming home now and we must be
prepared to treat their injuries and heal their spirit. We
have a moral and ethical obligation to our veterans to
provide quality and accessible healthcare. Sadly, we have
fallen short of this goal. It’s time for America
to stand up for
her troops. Together, we can
do so much better.”
